As the rumours go…
Wee Boab is ten foot tall, eats whole villages for breakfast and only sleeps twice a year. He once knocked down an entire tenement building with a single tooth and is over one thousand years old.
Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, where it is rumoured that he kept a large monster in a Loch as a pet, he now resides in Edinburgh, deep within the dungeons of Edinburgh Castle.
He arrived in Edinburgh for its famous fringe festival six years ago. It was his love of tourists in matching shell suits that drew him to the city initially, but the flat terrain and perfectly crafted roads now keep him here.
In years gone by, Wee Boab earned his keep by keeping the tides moving, but when lunar pull took over (May 1996), he moved on to creating web sites, solely with the power of his mind.
Wee Boab once got into a three man fight with Chuck Norris and the Stig. There’s a reason Chuck hasn’t been in anything since and the Stig always wears a helmet.
No-one has ever seen Wee Boab…
For your information:
- “Wee” – pronounced “We” – Scottish slang for little, or small.
- “Boab” – pronounced like “boat”, but with a “b” in place of the “t” – Scottish slang for Bob.
Some actual information:
Established in 2002 by Scott Boyd, www.weeboab.co.uk was setup as a simple small Scottish website directory. Actually, it was his very first attempt at a website and marked his entry into the world of Internet marketing.
Fast forward 9 years to 2011, Scott decide it was about time that the small 50 page plain HTML website got a face lift and, joy of joy, an actual content management system running behind it! The miracles of modern technology, eh?
The aim of this site is to list quality websites and businesses that serve or are based in Scotland.
About Scott: A 32 year old Edinburgh resident, prolific blogger, freelance (although semi retired) SEO consultant and keen (but entirely unsuccessful) poker player. Scott runs a modest network of websites including, www.jobseekersadvice.com (a career advice website and forum), www.careerslave.com (job hunting blog), www.fusednation.com (SEO blog) and www.blogged-out.com (blog about blogging), spending most days staring at a computer screen in disbelief that 400,000 people a month actually visit his websites. Still, stranger things have happened.
Scott is the person Harvard Business School once called a “terrible speller”. GET IN!
