Edinburgh University and the Edinburgh College of Art are to merge on August 1st after the plan was given the go ahead from the Scottish Parliment.

The college will join with the university’s school of arts, culture and environment to form a new Edinburgh College of Art within the university.

Edinburgh Uni is one of the top universities in the world and the merger will help solidify the nation’s capital as a leading academic destination in the world.
