Forth Rail Bridge Abseil 2011

For anyone interested in doing something a little bit different and raising money for a good cause, why not give Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland’s Forth rail bridge abseil a go?

The charity organises this a couple of times a year and it’s a lot of fun – I did it back in Oct 2010.

The abseil takes place off the world famous Forth rail bridge at the North Queensferry end and attracts hundreds of people from around the country.  You need to raise £125 to take part, which includes a £20 deposit to sign up.  Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before, the team of volunteers are experienced and help you every step of the way – you get all the training you need.

It’s also a really great day out – North Queensferry is a lovely place and is swamped with hundreds of volunteers, participants and friends and families, creating a festival atmosphere for the day!

The next abseil will take place on May 8th – register via the CHSS website (link above).
